Comments
The yacht was purchased in December 1999 in Palma via Swan Spain (Simon Turner) by
the present owners who then renamed her Bolero She was refurbished over the winter by the Swan service yard in Palma.

In 2003/4, Bolero underwent a refit including hull paint, rig overhaul and a new teak deck.

Under the current ownership Bolero has seen a mixture of use - cruising with only her owners aboard, including some longer passages (this truly is a yacht that may be sailed two handed); also some cruising with full crew of guests / friends and of course in true Swan style as a race boat at some international regattas.

Location: Barcelona.

Bolero appears in outstanding condition, is fully equipped and is, we believe, the best of her class.

Hull and Deck
The hull was painted in 2004 (it was previously painted in 1996 with Awlgrip “Flag Blue”) – the topsides have been painted with the same colour Awlgrip again, including Swan style double thin stripes on coaming and with a “clear gloss” coat.

Cockpit area and steering pedestal also painted (white) 2004.

Teak laid deck, new made in New Zealand by Dickson’s Marine in 2003-4 (in the original Swan style).

Aft entrance from cockpit to aft cabin (from new).

Deck equipment:
Lofrans Falkon 1500 w electric windlass with foot switch, recessed in bow locker.

2 x 55 ST 3 speed - halyards; 2 x 52 2 speed - halyard (on deck)

Interior
Standard Swan 59 layout (see plan) but with: -
Fo’c’sle with wooden berths, large overhead hatch, stowage under berths, alloy bars for lines. Steps on aft bulkhead up to deck. From the focsle a door leads aft to the port guest cabin and there is also a door across into the one forward guest toilet / shower area which is located to starboard forward of the starboard cabin – to which it has an adjoining door.

Note: in this yacht in place of a head area on port side forward (which is fitted in some other Swan 59 / 61) there is a bank of four good lockers and this also greatly enhances and enlarges the focsle area and general storage.

• Guest cabin to port with two single berths (upper berth of Pullman type);
• Starboard guest cabin with single lower berth and a double upper berth;
Each guest cabin has a good hanging locker and a further locker forward.
• Aft cabin with centre-line double berth, two seats, very generous storage plus an en suite toilet area and a separate full shower cubicle; The aft cabin also has an extra aft companionway to the aft cockpit (the ladder may be removed and stowed)
