The book holds a lot of wonderful recipies of Sweedish cooking at its best - and also a section that deals with the ship's history...

The schooner "Ellen" was built in Denmark by master builder N.P. Petersen, Thuroe, Svendborg - and the story reaches back to to the Brothers
Hall in Schotland who built the famous Tee Clippers etc. etc. The ship was sold to Sweeden in 1930 where she became a legend and later on
she was sold 1967 to USA.

The line drawing from "Ellen" inspired the builders Lars and Lars-Erik Johansson - heads of a Sweedish shipowner family.
They had a replica built - "Lady Ellen" in 1982. The story is much longer and you can have it if you are the next owner of this magnificant vessel..!
