Hull construction consists of oak frames, 71/2”x
6”, thought to be all original.
Deck stanchions also oak, two of which are seemed to be new in the last 20
years, the rest looking original
and in sound condition. Keel and keelson both greenheart, keel 9”, keelson 13”.
Hull planking is elm for 9 planks up from the garboard, being
3” thick. All other planking is pitch pine, 21/2”
for a further 6 planks on the turn of the bilge, then 31/2”
for the topsides. She has a full pitch pine ceiling
that corresponds in thickness with the exterior planking.
Hatches include a traditional Focsle hatch, re-inforced with
steel. The main cargo hatch is steel and enlarged
from the original from when she passed into Danish ownership.
Midship is a deckhouse with navigation area and access to lower deck.
